Stretch Marks

Dirty Workout

New member
I've had these nasty stretch marks on top of armpit/ bottom of front delt forever. THEY ARE HHHHHUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEE.

Just wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of them. I've dried vitamin E and it didnt do much....

u cant get rid of em once u have em, they are literally scars. i have em on my biceps, my read and front delts, the sides of my pecks, the bottom of my stomach and love handles, and behind my knees. i used to have 35 more pounds of fat and it really messed up my skin. its a bummer but cant really do much about it.

Yeah, I have them too...always had them on the front of my delts and now they are starting to work their way down my bicep. I hear laser therapy helps?

I got some nasty ones too, nothing you can do about them....grow to love them or hate them either way you got em for life...but at leaste they should fade abit in time

They fade in time provided you arent stretching them...

Cocoa Butter, Retin-A (prescription), and Vitamin A&E Gel can all help to an extent, Laser surgery/resurfacing is about the only thing to permanently rid you of them

Tanning can help hide them as well

Retin-A? That's this cream my dermatologist just gave me... I thought it was to help acne and such? I apply it in the morning, and this stuff called Nicosyn at night.

Stretch marks aren't necessarily caused by stretching of the skin, there is often also a hormonal component to it (ratio of hormones). Regardless, Retin-A has indeed been shown to improve remodelling of the skin over periods of 3-6 months. Another technique is dermabrasion. Go see a dermatologist and discuss it with them if they really bother you. Dermabrasion can certainly help, likely moreso than retin-A.
