Sometimes I have a protein shake after my workout

nothing. this is 5am and mostly i am doing cardio, but a few days a week I am also lifting.
Try sipping on a gatorade type drink with a scoop of whey isolate added during your workout. :coffee:

I tried that a few times but it always made me want  I need to eat like an hour before only thing that I can drink is water when working out.

Well....sipping on a drink DURING cardio isnt a great idea imo

Scoop of Whey in Skim milk is my early pre cardio/workout breakfast.

I've gotta have something to eat prior to cadio or I lose it about 1/2 way thru.

I know that's not best, but I figured if I complete it, thats gotta be better
vs not getting it all done due to me losing energy/glucose.

what do you guys think about me putting a fat free yummy flavored yogurt in the protein shake? there's def sugar and carbs in the yogurt but no fat. or am i heading in the wrong direction? my goal is to continue to be totally awesomer than jackangel. how'm I doin'?

Smurfy, here is what you do. Take a half cup of plain oats and put them in a coffee bean grinder, grind them to dust. Then add to your shake, this way you're getting some complex carbs with your protein. Or even throw in a bannana and like I said before, some fat free peanut butter. Fat free yogurt is good as well, sometimes I do this to break the monotony.

I also have a great tuna shake recipe if you're interested :)
