Some NFL trends

Here's some trends I've gathered.

Since 1978 Chicago is the second best team on opening day in the leauge.

Chicago at Baltimore
Bears 7-0 ATS 1st game of the season since 94

Detroit at Green Bay
Home team 14-2-1 last 17 meetings

New England at Cincinnati
Bengals 6-0 ATS vs. Patriots since 90

Oakland at Kansas City
Chiefs 8-1 ATS vs. Raiders 1st meeting of the season since 92

Pittsburgh at Jacksonville
Home team 9-3 ATS since 95

St' Louis at Philadelphia
Eagles 7-1 ATS at home vs. NFC West since 93

Atlanta at San Francisco
Falcons 1-6 ATS at 49ers since 94

Miami at Tennessee
Dolphins 10-2 ATS 1st road game of the season since 89

Home teams favored between Pick and -3 are 22-6-2 ATS since 1990 in first week of season. So far this week the plays for this system would be:
Jets-2
Jax -3
SD -2 1/2

Since 1990, teams that had a losing SU record year before that are favored in week one are a 64 % proposition (25-14-1 ATS} Good news for Seattle, SF 49'ers, San Diego and Jags.

Bucs are 2-25 ATS under Dungy when they allow 110-plus rush yds.

Well, Baltimore won, and the Cowboys lost, but only by 4...And the Raiders beat K.C. at Arrowhead...Those (along with Denver tomorrow night) are the ones I followed...

See sometimes I don't know if I really find those trends useful.

Some of those trends date back from 94. Coaches and players have changed a lot from 94, a lot of those trends are concidence. If you bet on any of em I hope you won.

Home teams favored between Pick and -3 are 22-6-2 ATS since 1990 in first week of season. So far this week the plays for this system would be:
Jets-2 - LOSER
Jax -3 - WINNER
SD -2 1/2 - WINNER

Since 1990, teams that had a losing SU record year before that are favored in week one are a 64 % proposition (25-14-1 ATS} Good news for Seattle - LOSER, SF 49'ers - LOSER, San Diego -WINNER and Jags - WINNER.

Bucs are 2-25 ATS under Dungy when they allow 110-plus rush yds. - They allowed 96 today and didn't cover the spread.

9-3-3 (9-6 if you lose on a push) in favor of these trends.

I don't play soley on trends, but sometimes they can't be ingnored and are factored in. The more info to help you make a pick, the better.

Agreed. All I was trying to say is that some of those trends go a ways back and the players, coaches, and offensive and defensive philosophies have changed. Not to mention that we're talking about a point spread that varies from game to game and not straight up. If one looks hard enough one can find a trend in any sport.

But I can't argue with those results however.
