So how did you psych up for your first injection?

First injections are always an issue. You sweat and shake and sometimes puke or pass out... How'd you guys handle it... Anyone ever see a hypnotist?:goof:

I just stuck the bastard in. Saw no sense in sweating over it. I was going to do it regardless so why make it harder than need be. Uncapped it and slid it in my quad. Felt nothing. Aspirated, depressed the plunger and pulled it out. No blood to be seen. I wasn't nervous to begin with which most certainly helped. I've never had a problem with shots from doctors. My only fear cam after words. I had a bit of trepidation about an infection...Just because it didn't know what could cause it. Well four days later there was nothing so from then on out I was needle jabbing machine. Countless shots later and many many moons and I still have never had a problem.

i remember my first injection i was so excited i had to calm down. I actually did a shot of morgan to calm me down. I couldnt wait to do it i never understood the big fear about it all i could think about was growing.

If you got all possible info and you know what you are doing you should not be scared! It does not hurt!!!!!!!Good luck bro;)

A couple of things that may help.
Practice on an orange a couple of times,so you can get used to how the needle feels penetrating the skin-it is very similar.that way,you can develop your one-handed technique.Better to have a trial run on an orange than when you are an inch deep in your glute.
You might see if your doc will order you some EMLA cream. It is a topical anesthetic that you apply about 15 minutes prior to injection. It really does work well, since most of the nerve fibers are at the first few layers of skin.

I used an ice pack the first time. I just held it there for about 5 minutes until it felt numb. Then, I still had to talk myself into it. Once I had jabbed it in, I had to double check it: I didn't feel anything, so I though maybe I had f'ed it up. But there it was, all the way in. I was laughing at myself before I had finished the injection. Don't think about it... just do it.

i shook like a leaf and couldn't sleep all night afterwards.

I just said fuck it, if all these other people can do it, so can I. I just sat down, sanitized everything, tried to stay as calm as possible, put the needle up against my skin, took a few deep breaths, and stuck it in, aspirated, saw the bubble, injected, pulled the needle out and laughed at how nervous I was cause it was so friggin easy.

I have a needle phobia. Or at least I did. My first injection was an ordeal for me. I was shaking like a dog shitting bones and I was just drawing up out of the ampule. I nearly hyperventilated and I had to steady my hand I was shaking so bad. The needle was clanking off the sides of the amp. After the injection I felt like a fool though. Didn't feel a thing and the rest is history...

play some music while you are doing it to calm you down and stay calm because there is nothing to it. i had a phobia of needles but it is gone now. the hard part is coming off a cycle. once you start, you don't want to come off.:(

dont use the same needle you drew with to inject with,my first time hurt like a bitch.when i pulled out and looked at the tip of the needle it was bent a little from hitting the bottom of the amp

Didn't feel comfortable that I could do glute shots correctly, so I started out with delt shots. Works great w/no soreness using a 23/1. The first time was definately a rush. Thanks to the guy with the Big Johnson for injection link on his page.

Hey bro, I too wondered if I could actually inject myself. What helped me was being very prepared and going over all the steps very carefully beforehand.

I have only taken a few shots so far and well, I'd like to say all went perfectly... but the fact is that while things went pretty well during the injection, there have been a lot of minor issues here and there, and you kind of have to learn what works for you. Like - will someone try to walk in on you while you are getting everything ready?? or will your parents show up for dinner an hour early when you have a needle halfway in your ass?

But wait, that's not all! I have also lost one amp so far. The top of this one opened clean, but either I was squeezing really hard or I got a defective amp, because when I put the needle in to draw up the oil the whole bottom of the amp just dropped out, and bye bye to that whole amp of sus! So I cracked another one.

Bottom line is if you are very prepared and know exactly what you are going to do, it goes great the first time, and you don't even feel it going in.

JUST do it be a man.

oh yeah aspirate and use sterile technique, and if you chicken out you never get huge or ripped, but don't worry about that.

Seriously it is no big deal. Just do it and do it right.

My mother gave me my first couple of shots. Of course I told her it was B12.

I was in the middle of the cycle ready for my next shot and... my mother wasn't there. I had the choice: stick the needle in or wait several hours. I couldn't wait so I decided to get over it.

First I got a lil bit nervous and sweated but ten minutes after I told to myself "what the fuck! you can't always depend on another person" and stuck the needle in. It was easier then I thought, in fact I inject myself better then my mother did. :D

On the day, I prepared all my stuff for the inject - cracked open the amps, drew the oil (I thought if I open the amps, prepare everything and draw the liquid, I'll figure how to shoot the stuff when it comes to it) I did not dwell over it, thinking about whether it was gonna hurt or not! I had gathered the knowledge from 2thick's injection instructions - thought if everybody else did it I can do it too - stuck the needle in real quick though - by the time I had realised what I'd done the needle was already full way in and it hadn't hurt a bit. I drew the plunger, pushed it all in and that was it...no bleeding no fainting no sweating or anything uneasy about the whole thing.

I looked forward to my next inject.

So I am getting ready to try my first thigh injection today (only in glute previously).

Here's what I found motivational, I hope it makes you laugh.

My wife and I took our little kitten into the vet today (no I didn't ask her for any roids, hehe) for his shots.

So the little guy sits patiently in his little jail cell while we drive to the vet, puts up with loud trucks going by, puts up with being weighed and having a pill shoved down his throat with nary a complaint.

Then the vet shoots one vaccine (full of some pinkish liquid that looks like Pepto Bismal) into one side of his butt, and another into the other side. Little guy struggled a tiny bit but basically made no complaints whatsoever.

Conclusion: if a tiny little kitten can get jabbed in the butt twice without so much as making a peep, then I guess a MAN should be able to do it!!!

LOL to the guy who tricked his mom into doing it.

The money

I told my self that I just spent 150.00 for T200 one vial and had to drive 10 hours to get it. So I damn sure wasnt going to not use it. After 30min of trying self injection I called a freind but she couldn't do it. I managed to stick the pin in but had to have her push the plunger in.. What a puss I know

Now I am addicted to stainless steal, I give myself B12 shots for fun..

Yo Monte, the first shot I did was back in '92 when the sustenon redijects came with an 18 gauge dart attatched at the end. I had no clue as to what I was doing at the time. I bought two redis from a guy at the gym, and thought that I would get HUGE off of that.(Like I said I was totally clueless at the time) Anyway an 18 gauge is a fucking harpoon! I iced my ass for about 30 minutes before I finally jabbed it home. I bled like a stuck hog and could barely walk for two days.
