First injections are always an issue. You sweat and shake and sometimes puke or pass out... How'd you guys handle it... Anyone ever see a hypnotist?:goof:

I just stuck the bastard in. Saw no sense in sweating over it. I was going to do it regardless so why make it harder than need be. Uncapped it and slid it in my quad. Felt nothing. Aspirated, depressed the plunger and pulled it out. No blood to be seen. I wasn't nervous to begin with which most certainly helped. I've never had a problem with shots from doctors. My only fear cam after words. I had a bit of trepidation about an infection...Just because it didn't know what could cause it. Well four days later there was nothing so from then on out I was needle jabbing machine. Countless shots later and many many moons and I still have never had a problem.

i remember my first injection i was so excited i had to calm down. I actually did a shot of morgan to calm me down. I couldnt wait to do it i never understood the big fear about it all i could think about was growing.

If you got all possible info and you know what you are doing you should not be scared! It does not hurt!!!!!!!Good luck bro;)

A couple of things that may help.
Practice on an orange a couple of times,so you can get used to how the needle feels penetrating the skin-it is very similar.that way,you can develop your one-handed technique.Better to have a trial run on an orange than when you are an inch deep in your glute.
You might see if your doc will order you some EMLA cream. It is a topical anesthetic that you apply about 15 minutes prior to injection. It really does work well, since most of the nerve fibers are at the first few layers of skin.
