I just want to say that this year is my first year .. getting ready for a show at 49 1/2 i read Ripped 2 and beyond brawn -- first few chapters really valuable.. ALL i can say is with my trainer and reading this.. i have seen such results i can not tell you..

AND I EAT NAT PEANUT BUTTER -- on a tortilla everyday... !
IT TAKES THE EDGE AWAY...

so what is your fav book or food or exercise that has just GOT YOU OVER THE EDGE SO TO SPEAK.....

exercise IT WOULD BE WALKING LUNGES FOR ME! :mix: .. AS A RESULT I HAVE MY PERSONAL TRAINER TRYING TO COMPETE WITH ME!! I am his mentor! LOL
 
Congrats! You're in the zone!!!!!

Things that pushed me over the top were 7/7/7's (EZ bar curls) and same on leg curl for hams. I suspect runnign stairs is goign to get my ass rock hard too.
 
For me its just being in the gym. I have fave exercises and those which I have a weird love , hate but total respect for like squats. At the mo I am totally into deadlifts, I only started doing them a month ago but they rock. Somehow I feel strong mentally and physically when I do them... and am starving after a back session. Fav. food? Well, thanks to bb'ing I am finally in the driving seat re. nutrition so I feel great everytime I eat real, clean healthy food, which is 5 times per day. Such a buzz of good vibes from eating and training well. Tuna tomato and cucumber in a warm pitta bread?
 
Wow that sounds good -- tuna, tomatoe , cuke on pita! I've been eating tuna out of a bag all day.

Here's one thing I've discovered about "favorite" exercises .. I tend to do them too much. I love back day. I can't get enough back exercise. So I overtrain. So lately, honestly I love every different night because I can watch how I'm improving or lagging. I finally learned how to do squats, deads & GMs correctly & I can do them w/o hurting my back. My latest kick is trying to do pull-ups / chin-ups. I still suck, but I'm so excited to even be trying them.

iamfirmin -- it sounds like you are a very strong & determined person who loves to try new & challenging things -- I'm sure you are finding every different aspect of your comeptition training to be a kick & a half. What do you like doing so far? What gives you the biggest pumps?
 
You know how i luv Tuna?? DUMP SALSA IN IT AND EAT IT RIGHT OUT OF THE BAG..
I also like it with cottage cheese and onions! weird huh?
