Question for B Fold:

Hey man I realize that you train under the WSB methodology, and that you are always posting your exercises. I was wondering if you perform the JM Press, and if so do you have any pics you could post of the execution of this exercise? I have read how to perform it a million times, yet Im still not sure if Im doing it right. If you have some pics to post that would be awesome, if not no worries. Thanks bro.

I am in the SAME position that you are. I have read about it, seen pics...but still can't do it properly. You might ask on the powerlifting board...maybe see if you can get one of the guys to take a video of themselves doing it.

Let me know if you do find anything...I am also interested.

Well I searched around the Powerlifting forum and I read some place that IrishPower had a video of him doing the JM Press. I found some of his videos (and impressive ones they were), but couldnt find any video of the JM Press being performed. My search for this exercise will never end! I'll let you know though If I miraculously stumble upon a good picture, or even better a video.

Yeah Joker I found that link online as well, but you are right it looked way too much like a close grip bench, so I didnt post it. I know the JM is a cross b/w a close grip and an extension, but that animation totally just looked like a close grip.

BlkWS6> If you ever do find out what the difference is, please post it here. I would like to know as well.

What is it supposed to accomplish?

that is a bad video, taken from the wrong angle. I own a powerlifter video on the bench press that shows JM himself doing it from the SIDE which shows the correct form. He also showed me the move himself at the York Nationals last year. It is a VERY difficult exercise to do, very awkward. Especially if you dont have the meaty arms that JM does.

Looks like a cross betw. a close grip bench and a California press. A Cali. press is supposed to be a cross between a close-grip bench and a skull crusher. It's basically a close grip to your neck. So the JM is to your upper chest, and the bar moves an a straight line.
