Quads twice a week?

I was thinking of working quads twice a week.. good or bad idea?
I get a great workout for legs the way it is now, but would twice a week to much for quads?
 
it depends on your recovery time.

maybe a heavy day and a "light" day is possible.

other possibilities are squats as your main exercise on one, and leg press on another.

its up to you, and your recovery. i would try it for a while at least. when your body gets used to the program, then drop back down to 1x a week again and really up the intensity. the extra recovery time may keep the gains coming.

no way can it be done if you are going hard enough the 1st day-legs need 5 dys to recover fully

what dictates hard enough?

is this a soreness thing?

old ideas die hard i guess.:p
 
Try heavy squatting for one day and then for the light day try sprints and leg extensions. Many sprinters do this in thge off season. It puts on some good mass put also improves coordination and vascularity...
