PW dex shake on Keto?

it varies per person. try 25g's of dextrose w/protein and take it with r-ala. check later to see if you're still in ketosis or not.
 
Is it neccesary to have a PW shake? Some people i hear say yes no question, some say no whats the right answer? Remember this is based on keto not a regular diet

while a few might disagree, a PW shake is pretty important for recovery. You are in a pretty catabolic state after working out, and a PW shake containing simple carbs and fast digesting protein is essential for recovery. some may say it'll kick you out of keotsis, for some it doesn't. r-ala is good to take with a PW shake as it prevents the glucose from the PW shake from entering the liver, thus knocking you out of ketosis.
 
I think a PW shake is very important, but on a keto diet i would do a protein/fat shake like pure-whey and flax oil. I would venture to disagree w/ the nature boy and say that simple sugar would knock you out of keto, even with the ALA. Everyone has their own opinions though. When I was on a keto diet I deff didn't have a maltodextrin MRP after working out.-Josh
 
nature boy deffinanltly makes a good point because everyone does respond differantly. It was not the time for me to fuck around with that because i was getting ready for a competiton-Josh

personally i would rather be as close to ketosis as possible but not actually in it.
i've always done the dex after and still lost a consideralble amount of bodyfat without losing much muscle, but had ample time to stretch my diet out. the faster you want fat loss, the more muscle you end up burning.
