PRE workout drink

i read an article on this. And quite frankly it converted it. If i remember correctly prot synthesis is elevated and cortisol is decreased what more do you want?

Anyway are there any other bro's on here take pre workout drinks? I actually go overboard and have a pre and a post. Both are like 60 gr carbs 30 prot.
 
I will implement taking 1 serving of creatine/dextrose mix along with a protein shake, then the same immediatly after. Then commence on my usual diet. I read an article by ast. I will see how it goes...

above is a link to the mentioned article. i have been doing this for some time now. It works for me. But everyone's body is different.

I have made some modifications to this regiment though. As i said before i actuallly just drink two whole drinks in stead of the one before or one after used in the study. And i dont drink "halves" but "whole" drinks.

Anyway i would like to hear from some bro's who have done this too.
 
I've been using a Hydro whey protein with malto/dextrose for the past couple months as a workout drink and I love it. I get the most amazing pumps and my work capacity has increased dramatically. I use a similar concoction post workout and and I've been able to move to 5 workouts per week and only get sore if I really overdo it, which is easy with all that extra energy!
 
good to hear javaguru, but does it really give you extra energy? cause the nutrients even in liquid form would take some time to be absorbed by the body. the most profound effect i feel is better recuperation and prot. synth. (if you can feel that :confused: )
