On CKD again.....thinking to keeping my carb-up to....

What made you change your mind from a 24-36hr carb-up to one meal? With the plethora of carbs you need to take in, one meal won't cut it, IMO

beastboy, you'll reduce results by doing this. You need the full refeed, and the supercompensation effect of it to keep your metabolism elevated and to create a proper anabolic environment.

Perhaps we can make some suggestions on getting back into ketosis faster. When you come off of your refeed, what do you eat in the next 24 hours? It takes me 10-12 hours after a refeed to get into ketosis again.

I basically eat eggs...cheese..chicken breast..a.nd a couple salads. I usually keep my fat and protein grams 50/50.

Beastboy, ok, try reducing your protien, and drink tons of flax seed oil. Try something like 1 tbs of flax for every 2 eggs you eat or for every 2 oz of cheese. Try to get your fat to protien grams in a 2:1 ratio or about 85% fat calories. Make certain you are getting alot of EFA's, since they tend to promote the burning of fat over carbs or protien for fuel, and can help get you into ketosis faster. You may wish to even drop the eggs and cheese, since they contain trace amounts of carbs, and go strictly with beef and flax seed oil.

Is that for just day one after the refeed?

Yup. On the second day you can start bumping protein back up. Maybe shoot for 70% of calories from fat on day two.

I agree with the others that a one meal refeed isn't really a refeed at all. You need at least 12 hours to achieve any sort of decent glycogen recompensation.
