new squat video

needsize

first time squatting 485lbs, but got 6 reps, raw with no belt and ass all the way down. On some of the reps, I am leaning too far forward, not too happy about that, but I'll fix it and maybe shoot another video with 495 next week

BTW, be patient, video will likely load slow

squat 485 x 6

Looks sharp needsize. I do 465 regularly, but i use both a belt and knee wraps for my own protection. You are not worried about injuring yourself without a belt and wraps? I got a hernia doing squats around 500lbs when i was in my early 20's. I will be 33 tomorrow so that was quite a long time ago, but remember that like it was yesterday. Are you off or on (cycle) right now?

thanks guys
currently on cycle, weighed in at 259lbs(5'8"). I'm running anadrol for the last 4 weeks of the cycle, and my strength has really gone up as a result
I havent used a belt in about 7-8 years, i went to a surgeon as I thought i had a hernia, and he explained about how the belt builds up abdominal pressure, and you will end up with a hernia if you have any weak muscles in that area. So I threw out the belt, and havent used it since. If I used one, I figure I would be squatting at least 550lbs for reps, but am paraniod about getting a hernia

so mr needsize from what you just said you'd recommend anyone not to use a belt?
