New Routine (POSSIBLY)

I know I have an attitude problem, and I'm glad. I like to piss people off, I really couldn't give a fuck less man.

I you feel this way, do you still expect people to help you on designing a routine?

But in terms of staying on a program, if you read upward a lil' I said I'm sticking with the 5x5, but am curious as to what this routine should/would look like, and whether or not it's worth my time AFTER I finish this routine.

Pick something you like and run with it. If you keep changing things up, you will never know what will work for you.

Plus, you must excuse the previous post to some degree, as I was a lil' stoned/intoxicated last night.

This is not conducive for training!! This destructive behavior will affect you in the long run. You are hurting your protein metabolism and destroying your lung capacity. How will your body ever recover?

you sure are tough for someone who deadlifts 80 lbs.

for your sake, hope you don't piss anybody off in person, you'll get your ass kicked

i thought nobody in this place would ever try to talk down to someone because of their lifts. i sure hope that doesnt change

also, legion said it was one of his first times doing deads, and that 80 pounds was way too light

What type of exercises are you planning on using in this routine? The only thing I don't like is how the routine involves training arms the day after the larger torso muscle groups. As far as legs are concerned, I would train them alone. Leg training will easily drain the system.

Are you wanting to train each muscle group twice a week?

How long do you want each training session to last?

An hour to an hour and a half I suppose, Louden...

That's what I was asking you guys though... WHAT exercises should I use on the maximal/explosive days? I'm assuming different ones...

Legion,

Where are you currently training? Do you train at home or your school gym? What type of equipment is accessible to you?

One more question, what are you specifically training for?

If you want a blend of strength/size and endurance, you can have heavy and light/moderate days.

As far as explosive movements are concerned, stick with basic compound movements. This may include:

Squats
Deadlifts
Power Cleans
Barbell Rows
Chins
Up Right Rows
Incline Presses
Bench Presses
Standing Push Presses or Seated Barbell Presses
Close Grip Bench Presses
Parallel Dips

For explosive power, I recommend performing 3 to 4 reps per set.

For gains in strength and size, perform 5 to 10 reps.

For endurance, stick with 11 to 15 reps per set.

On your second training session for the week, you can include more isolation movements, but stick with reps between 8 and 12.

Yeah scruples back off, don't make fun of people because of what they lift, or you'll sound like a jackass
