Cheescake, this was not a personal attack I'm having a seminar on Nov. 22nd. If you can make your way up here get a karins denim and pay for your own room I won't charge you for the seminar...MULE...
Your offer is very tempting. I will definitely consider it. Funds are definitely tight, but that is a chance of a lifetime.

Cheesecake:

I wouldn't really listen to any of the negative comments, ect. The iron game is all personal. If you are beating your old personal records, then you are having success. If you have only been working out 4 months, you can't compare yourself to people who have been working out for 15 years like myself or others. Be patient and you will get there if you want it bad enough.

However, you do have to draw a fine line between just getting huge and putting on quality weight. I find this is largely governed by diet. No offense to the Westside proponents (because I am one of them), but it has gotton the the point where "GPP" is almost a catch phrase or a fad. I personally find it to be a waste of my time (or rather not worth the time it takes) to do "special" GPP workouts by dragging a light sled around or whatever.

Just work out intensly and GPP will take care of itself.

o.k. cheese you started lifting weights about 2 months ago and I will be honest and say that you have done well. Most people don't even stick with it this long. You have made quality strength gains and that is what matters.

Now part 2, I completely agree with BW and Mule, there is a point where you have to realize that you can only train as hard as you general conditioning level will handle. You can't handle the volume and intensity it will take to keep progressing at the same rate without a greater work capacity. The science being this: your anaerobic system uses oxegyn to create atp for energy at a cellular level. Anaerobic capacity is improved by doing things that last between 3 and 60 seconds. In short interval type training.

The one thing I wouldn't do is just walk around with a sled all day. There are many efficient ways to increase your work capacity and sled dragging is only one. Your bodyfat is not much if any different than your first pics, but you have gotten bigger, that indicates some hypertrophy. What you need is to not worry about your bodyfat in the sense where you are trying to lose weight, but you do need to clean up your diet and add interval sprint work, sled dragging, plyos and continue the event training. You will be at the right bodyfat when your endurance is good in these exercises. If what you want is to powerlift, then get your body in shape to the point where you can train at your full potential.

Oh and the thing about overtraining is that if you can't handle a moderate amount of gpp and extra work, then you are not in good enough shape, don't back off the conditioning work. If you have to back down in your workouts then do it.

Some people are just jealous. He's only been working out few months and puts up weight that people get to after 2 years. Whats up with neagtive comments, whatever he is doing is obviously working, so why what the fuck?

Here's an idea if you're concerned with bf gain; 1)get some calipers and measure your body fat once a week. 2) weigh yourself once a week at a set time preferably in the morning and record these numbers. 3)Record your lift numbers for the week.
Calculate your lean body mass. Graph your lean body weight and total body weight (these should be in different colors and on the y axis of your chart) and time in weeks (on the x axis). This will give you a visual representation of your lean gains and fat gains. You can then adjust your diet accordingly to maximize your lbm gain and minimizing your bf gains. It sounds a little complicated, but would only take ten minutes a week and if you are serious, you might consider it to optimize your training. Just a suggestion.

We do workout intensely. And if you notice in the workouts that I post, our volume per workout is a lot higher than most people who train using WSB.

I'll be posting a couple of my workouts shortly and you will see what I mean.

I hope that everyone takes a few minutes to remember a few things...

When a world-class athlete gives you advice...you should give A LOT of thought to it instead of debating it.

No messing around on Sunday. I'm getting ready for a contest...total change in attitude on my part. I think that my guys can start to see it already.

Yes, I would listen to whatever Kaz had to tell me. I don't like him as a person because of the way that he has treated me before...but as a lifter his accomplishments blow mine away by far. I'd listen till my ears fell off.
