I felt like I should introduce myself before I just started posting...seemed polite, I guess...
Y'see, spatterson has been training me for about 2 months now, and I've been lurking around for a couple of days. Decided to join in the fun!
I've read WarLobo's faq as well as the board faq, so I'm educated, at least partially.
As far as vital info: I've never been an active guy, and have always been pretty skinny. I hit 6' in high school, and weighed around 125 up until the time I graduated. I didn't really gain weight until I got jobs where I was sitting all the time. Anyhoo, a few months ago, I was put on medication for high blood pressure. Between that and me being tired of the gut, I decided to do something about it.
I started seriously training 2 months ago, and was at 176 lbs, with 19.5% B/F. After 1 month, I was down to 164 and 18.1%. Now, after 2 months, I'm back up to 170, and 13% B/F.
This has been a hell of a lot of fun for me, and at 2 months, I'm already in better shape than I've ever been.
I've read a lot of the posts, and it's cool to see people with the same questions I've had. Great source of info.
