MY jogging sucks ass. is there something out there to help me?

If i'm lucky i might make it to 2 milesbut takes me 22 minutes and right now was only able to do 1.7 miles and i been doing it for months trying to get better and nothing my pace doesn't increase at all sometimes i'll get to 2.5 miles but still slow and that rarely what can i take to help. wouldn't mind strength increase in the gym as well.
 
I dont know if this is the best cardio. but i usually play basketball at my gym they got a indoor court and after about 4-5 tough games im usually deaddd. and most of all, its FUN man... i ilke it a lot better than jogging and the stationary bike crap. just my .02
 
1.7 to 2 miles is still not that bad.Running is tough and can be quite boring,it take good discilpline to go out and run at all.I think you should be happy with what you are doing and just keep it up.

True but the problem is the timing sucks. i need to get btter and able to run 5 miles. I'm going to be trying otu for somethign within 6-12 months from now and i need to be running 5 miles under 33 minutes and able to go up to 7 miles so basically i'm jogging 9:40-11:30 a mile my two miles which is all i can do b/c i get too tired. i need to be around 7-7:30 a miles up to 5-7 miles and i been jogging trying to get up there for atleast 6 months but only 2-3 times a week and takign me forever. someone said once they did winny and clen and there endurance for running sky rocketed and they got fast also i wonder if that will work for me
 
you said do sprinting for 2-3 weeks and i will see a difference. how is this so? sprinting is more for short distance running and developing legs. how will this help my time improvement on 2 miles and how will it help me do longer distances please explain! also give me an example of a program for me to do for 3 weeks i have no clue for sprinting at what distance for how long how many weeks etc.. thanks
 
Dude jogging sux. Get a good bike and start bicycling. It is so much more fun and it doesn't hurt your legs.
 
First, this is a bb discussion board so if endurance is your concern then this is the wrong board. Second, if your concern is burning more calories, then try a different form of cardio that you can last longer doing.

hey Nathan are you that famous weiner? anways jogging is a form of building your body so stick it. second this is an american site so go to a canadian BB site if you wat to get smart with me.
you don't have to reply if you don't liek it and i seen stupid post here abotu females and dick don't work no more or i have acne b/c of choclate cookies so are far more pathetic. i'm still working out i just added jogging to it last 4 months b/c trying to get cardio shape for this special thing i want to try out for the requires you to run alot and carry shit on your back

Jesus H Christ. I wasn't being an asshole, I was simply telling you that this IS a bb discussion board, and if endurance is in fact your current goal, then you WILL have more luck on a different board. I'm really not clear on where the disagreement can come in with that statement. Second I DID try and offer a solution - I was trying to help asswipe.
Why in sweet fuck would you ever pick on the fact that I'm canadian? I have no fucking rebuttal on americans for that because most guys on this board are american and I respect many of them you elitest bastard. Because you live south of me you somehow deserve to be here more than I do? Fuck, I'll take Canada over the States - we don't get in trouble for having personal amounts of gear over here jackass.
