My gym merged with the Y

I just got a letter in the mail that my gym was merging with the Y. My membership fees are going up at least 10 dollars per month.

The only good thing is that I can use the Y gym now. I havent seen it, but I hear its a pretty nice gym.

On top of that my wife fucking left me last week. Nothing like a ton of stress to help your workout. I cant eat when I am stressed and I shed the lbs like crazy. Gotta love that.

man....i swear everyone in the world is breaking up this past weekend....what the fuck is going on???

I dont know man. I just dont get it.

We have been married almost 6 years and have 2 kids. She just up and fucking leaves. Its bullshit thats all I know.

All I know that they Y sucks.....If I had to leave my gym..I would quit working out before I would go back to the YMCA. I don't know about all of them, but how do you train at a gym that doesn't allow chalk, you can't scream your guts out in, can't take your shirt off....next they are going to tell you how much to lift

You workout in a home gym I assume :).

Sorry to hear about your wife man...she just left without talking? How old are your kids? Divorce is murder on a childs psychological health...is there any way to comprimise?

actually we have been having problems for a year or so and were sepereated for about 7 months, moved back in together and now she left again.

I dont want a divorce, but she is in this mode where I am the root of all evil and she must get away from me or something.

As for the Y, it was the only other gym in my area. I cant afford to start a home gym, but I might start working on that now since my membership fees are going up.

My gym doesn't allow you to take your shirt off, which I kinda do miss from my college workouts. Although some of the chicks come pretty damn close anyway :)

My wife works out at a local YMCA. It's actually quite a bit nicer than some of the other gym around here. More power cages, lots of benches and not near as many people. Plus, they are family oriented. They offer GOOD childcare VERY cheap. (For those who have children such as myself.)

I would check it out before writing it off. You might be surprised.:)
