My "calfed" bicep... what's with it?

hey guys..

I've asked help for this before but not on this board.. and have never gotten a clear answer.. mainly because I haven't had a picture to go along with it.. but here's one now... My left bicep is split.. and looks almost like a calf.. I've never seen anyone with this before and it almost looks like part of my bicep is missing.. can anyone tell me what exercises I can do to fix this? if it's possible.. and also.. the gap from my elbow to biceps.. both arms are really bad.. when I flex I can fit almost 3 fingers in the gap.. I tried doing hammer curls like crazy.. but nothing...

and yea.. my arms aren't big at all... but we all start somewhere right :D

Any ideas...?

Thanks alot..

Simply a matter of doing heavier curls. What type of bicep work do you do and how long have you been lifting?

As for the split in the muscle, I wouldn't worry about it. It's probably just some sort of freakish genetic mutation. :)

It kind of looks like you have a very dominant brachialis(the muscle under the typically seen bicep muscle). This isn't a bad thing. I think its actually good. The brach. lies under teh main bi muscle and pushes it up, creating a peak. So, you may be gifted with a great peak in the future. It will even out with time and probably look better than average.

As far as length, being able to fit 3 fingers at the end of your bicep is a purely genetic thing bro. I have been cursed with the same thing. My bis are bigger and stronger than my lifting buddy, but they actually look smaller because of an attachment similar to yours. That by no means says that you can't build massive guns, you just won't have them hanging as low as some people.

Or you're just a mutant freak like gt said:)

Thanks for the replies, makes me feel better now.. hopefully i'll get a great peak.. i already do have "peaky" biceps since they sit so high up so if that contributes to my left arm it'd be awesome since it's a little smaller than the right.

As for my bi workouts.. I don't train them nearly as much this semester since I lost my workout partner and my classes don't allow for much room to work out.. but last semester I was doing them once a week.. and it'd consist of 3 sets of preacher curls, then 3 sets of hammer curls with dumbbells, then every week would alternate either 21s with a barbell or pullups. I got really good gains in mass and strength from that too. Hopefully I can pick it up again come this summer.

Thanks again for the replies.

well nothing bad here, ever seen Boyer Coe's biceps they have a similar shape. Just get em bigger.

you need more triceps though! Just think that one day it will look pretty much like Boyer's arms :)

I have the exact same shape on my arms as you. I have the split and the gap. I allways kind of liked the split but the gap bothered me like hell. Get some size on them suckers and they will look good.
