I wish I could post pic...but Ill try to describe the prob...

basically my upper arms have good size (about 16") The prob is that the area right above my elbow is small as fuck. The bicep ends like an 1 inch higher than the elbow and the back side of the arm near the elbow is flat as hell (it almost goes in!). This makes my arms look tiny as hell if I wear a regular tshirt. My forearms are also pretty small. Basically, starting from my hand it goes...small...small..small and then like 1 inch after the elbow...all of a sudden, BIG! What can I do???

hammer curls maybe?

been doing lots of hammer curls and cable curls...no luck. Is it a prob with the bicep or the tricep??

Of course this is genetics. However, you can build your muscles to thicken your elbow. I would add close grip bench presses, parallel dips, and preacher curls into your routine.

Welcome to the world of fucked up bis:D

Don't know if you read my thread about my arm problems, but this is the main genetic problem I face. My lifting buddy has pretty much the same size arms I do, but when relaxed they look bigger because of their attachment. They are big at the joint, whereas mine begins way above when flexed. I can fit 3 fingers between the joint and the beginning of my bicep, he can barely fit one.

When I wear a t-shirt, my arms look small because my bis don't even start until above the sleeve:mad:

I assume that you're a tall dude?

yup, i have the same problem. Have hammercurls helped you at all? Ive been doing them for quite some time with no luck. Anyway, im not that tall, im 6'0.

we could start a thread where everyone posts how their arms are fucked up....here i go:

my arms are small proportionally to my chest and back, and my biceps lack much of a peak. :(

rc,
I'm pretty sure we're just genetically fucked. I'm not saying that we can't build some impressive guns. But, we can't change our muscle bellies. Even if we build 20 inchers, they'd still attach in the same place.

I could be full of shit, but it seems to me that the best way to hit that little bit that actually does appear to go all the way down is heavy reverse curls and hammer curls. If you've been slamming hammer curls for a while and feel they don't do anything. Try heavy reverses for a while. If that fails, just deadlift until you puke:D

Keep us posted bro

Interesting measurement. I can fit 2 fingers in that area, but I have small fingers. You're a pretty big dude Thaibox (lot bigger than me) so if you fit 3 it must be really messed up....
