Morning Protein

Hey ladies, a friend of mine has been following a diet I gave her, but she is so sick of eating eggs every morning that she gets nauseous just from smelling them! Does anyone have any good ideas for protein in the morning? She's already drinking two shakes a day, so I really don't want to tell her to have another. Thanks!

How bout 2 tablespoons of G-Plenish. 30g of Protein and 10g of glutamine.

Any protein is fine...there is no reason why she can't eat chicken, beef, turkey for breakfast. I get sick of eggs too, so sometimes I eat meat and veggies or meat and a yam for breakfast.

The other morning I had Whole Wheat bread with shredded chicken & mustard....it was very good!

I've gotten over the eggs every day thing & eat them daily, but I know how she feels. If she want to stick with eggs why doesn't she try omelets with different ingredients -- the change in toppings/stuffings may distract her from the egg part.

I also use AnyWhey which is flavorless & add it to cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix, etc.

What about the famous protein pancake? Just throw the eggwhites in the blender with the oatmeal (I add some maple extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and maybe some vanilla whey protein). I usually make this when I'm not in an 'egg mood'.

That's good advice, i'm starting to gag a protein shakes myself. Does anyone have suggestions to put vanilla whey protein in? Need ideas!

Stacy...I use a vanilla protien with a TBLS of peanut butter...or sugar free jello pudding mix (pistachio)...cant get enough...thats me tho...

here's something that i've been making lately....there's so much of it that i just eat it for like 4 days... it's called broccoli-cheese breakfast casserole
1/2 lb ground pork sausage or cubed ham
1 small onion
1 10 oz pkg of frozen broccoli, thawed
6 oz bag of low-fat shredded cheese (the 3 cheese blend)
8 large eggs (i'm sure you could use a couple of eggs and several whites though)
1 c. low-fat ricotta cheese
1/4 c skim milk
1 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt

Cook sausage/ham and onion in skillet on medium-high heat until done
Toss together meat/onion mixture, broccoli, and 1/2 c of the cheese blend. Spoon lightly into greased 11x7 baking dish
Stir 1/2 c. of cheese, eggs, and next 4 ingredients...pour over mixture in dish
Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top
Bake (covered) at 350 for 30 mins; then uncover and bake 15 more mins. ENJOY!!
