Guess I am working my hamstrings to max capacity lol...I think I can blame the good mornings ss with db sumo straight legs dl's for this. It could however be from the seated hamstring and hold though...either way it def hit failure lol.

Mate if your leg is bruised it means you're bleeding internally, might be an idea to let it heal before straining them again....

Def worked pretty well. I am a crippled mess this morning though my back is torn to pieces haha my chest is a bit fatigued but nothing like my back.
 
Couldn't do fasted cardio this morning as my legs are not working (day 2 from training legs and I am in agony). This is going to be a rotten day, tomorrow will be a rest day due to I am going to look at some houses after work so I won't be able to make it to the gym.

I think they have chair massage at work today, if they are here I am def getting it done. I also need to schedule a regular massage so I can have them focus on my legs a bit as they are such a mess I can't even stretch them out and they need to be. Bad situation.

Yeah, sucks but it is what it is. Here is a pic of my leg from last year when I was playing for our company softball team and pulled/tore my groin, the pic actually doesn't do it justice, it was much much worse. And about 2 weeks after this happened I was down in Tennessee for some motorcycle riding for a week, which was interesting to say the least; wasn't overly painful but def a bit uncomfortable, but I also got a compression sleeve for my thigh (was a bit too small but got the largest I could find and they were supposed to be tight). Couldn't do anything for legs for over 2 months, def sucked.
 
That pic was also taken about 1 week after the incident, it goes higher and further around the bottom. all in all it was all up my thigh and around my hamstrings from the pooling blood and whatnot, was sooooo bad.

I used to do 3 sets of 10 per exercise, then it went to 3 sets of 8 @ 80% my 1 rep max, then after I joined EF I increased the sets to 4-5 and reps went down to 4-8 so the weight could increase. I've had much better results lifting heavy with lower reps. I still like to go for high reps though, as I'm training for kickboxing as well as bodybuilding functional muscle is important to me, no point having a knockout punch if you can only throw 1 at a time.

Most peeps do much better on heavy weights with lower sets and reps. As a matter of fact IDK of anybody that does not.
This is why the 5x5 is such a succesful program for dam near everybody that uses it and really gives it a chance.

The high reps is fine if you have the strength to use a decent weight to do those high reps with.

As for me I will continue with the 5x5 till I get big and strong then will investigate higher reps. And that should make me bigger but not stronger. But at that point who the hell cares? LOL:evil:

The high reps I'm talking about are like 100s of press ups in sets of 20-30 or so. I never do more than 50 in one go and usually just 20...

Hopefully will make the gym today as I had missed the past two days. My leg day from Sunday physically crippled me and I am only now recovering from it. Opted to forego fasted cardio this morning as my legs are still tight and achy and I don't need to set myself back any further. Although I would have been training shoulders and tris on Tuesday i literally could support my own body and was in agony and was extremely weak as my body was focused on trying to heal itself. Still tired and feel pretty weak but we shall see. Oh and my best friend and his wife are having a baby today so not sure I will make it or not, depends on how his wife is feeling and all that as he may want me to go visit.

Diet has been good though even though I haven't been in the gym so I am pretty happy about that.

If I the gym today I want to get in shoulders and tris.

Which bruise? The recent one I did on leg day is on my hamstring. The massive one was from last year and was my groin and thigh with pooling down onto hamstrings.

Sorry for confusion I don't get it from rack pulls. I got it on Sunday from doing legs. Probably from hard squeezes on seated hamstring curls or good mornings...

Not bad workout but not great but didn't want to destroy myself either after being out for 2 days with leg issues so I feel pretty good. Kept the weights a bit lighter too.
 
Was able to do cardio this morning, seems like legs are back to functioning as they should. 15 mins elliptical and 15 on stairs, 550 calories. 1 oxyelite pro and 3 n2burn, def got a good sweat lol.
 
Have a dept lunch and then team building event until 5. Lunch will be fine but getting my one meal in now and then I have my tupperware with chicken ready for the rest of the afternoon!!

Haha no idea about AB sorry bro. I was always under impression that o blood types were on the rarer side.
 
O's and A's are most common. AB is the rarest. I wonder what they'd pay you to give blood CS. You should look at that for a way to make some money maybe? :)
 
Lol, firstly they don't pay you to give blood in the uk. Second AB is only good for AB but type ABs can take type A or B blood. So not a massive call for AB :)

Well finally got into the gym this morning for some cardio, 40 minutes and 683 calories on elliptical. the past week has been rough with getting to the gym and as it is I didn't make it yesterday and today isn't looking like its going to happen either😠.

Have def cheated on diet a bit this weekend as well, so not feeling good because of that either.

Really feeling discouraged as of late, scale isn't really moving a lot and sometimes it seems like its going up and I am having a hard time judging whether or not my bodyfat is going down (if it is I don't care if the scale is moving up but I am simply not sure, I feel like I am just where I was at the beginning of competition, maybe a bit better actually but not by too much).

I am also going to go see dr next week and get some bloodwork done because I want to see where my hormone levels are as i feel they might be low (ive been doing research of signs and symptoms of
Low test and have to say I think I am showing a lot of the signs which sucks cuz if I am that would possibly mean trt and I'm going to be turning 28 next month). I also need a new dr anyway so might as well get both done at same time. This dr, and his wife, also does bodybuilding so it seems like it will be a perfect fit.

Keep your head up brown. I too was going through the same thing and just had to measure from the way my clothes were fitting for a while there and then all the sudden my weight finally started dropping after 3 months of being frustrated now I swear everytime I get in the scale it drops. You will break through that point too. Keep pushing and don't even look at the scale for a week or two. That's what I did so that I wouldn't discourage myself. And its OK if you cheat the diet every once and a while we all do. Its called treating yourself the key is getting back on track after you do. Keep pushing.

I also lift in pm but the am I aim to get a cardio session in. I am also going to try and add a second cardio session in during my lunch break to see if that helps at all and gets me through this sticking point.

Thanks d. Not feeling that much better. Workouts are suffering as is diet a little bit (but only a little).

Did some light bis training last night, honestly don't remember the weight I did for each, but did some laying down cable curls w/bar, preacher curl machine, high lat tower pulldown curls, hammer curls. Did some chins at the very beginning of workout (oh) and also did some AB work after bis.

Didn't do any cardio yesterday.

Super tired this morning, I need to get checked out, something has to be wrong with me. Tuesday cant come fast enough.

Not bad workout just trying to adjust things to get myself going again.
Good call on the volume imo...those workouts would have been impressive even on gear...that's a lot to put your body through especially in a calorie deficit

Gotcha! Thanks man. The appetite increase is worrisome as I am trying to cut. Now if I were bulking I would be all over it but I eat like a horse now and putting in more food would be counter productive.
