well onisly if they gave me the optoin of my milloun k or a t-shert I would say keep the t-shert I have more fun with my k.I would be willing to part with some of my say 10k here or more I mean I have bin know to drop 50k in a night on bombs anny way but I would never part with to much of it because I need it to make more.and most people would feel the same save for the people who dont realy want k anny way wich is not what the problem is.

I might part with a little more of it if there more fuchers to use it on like skatter bombs like give me a discount one plate and g bomb if I drop so many at once like a scatter bomb.or a bomb sheild were I could bomb people and by a sheild to make it so they cant bomb me back or give me red k for like a day our to.
I just like haveing fun with my k and haveing fun is worth a lot to me.give me ways to have fun and I will spend my k.

What about risking 100,000 karma on Sesapure or StimulantX? Say If you spend 10,000K you get 1 lottery chance, 100,000 12 lottery chances, and so on? If it's just monopoly money, isn't that a sporting way to spend it? Besides that the site sponsors get to advertise thier products.

Reducing K by some factor doesn't in itself do anything for inflation but move us back down the curve. Only when coupled with a new formula can it hope to be effective and one can apply a new formula without the reduction in current holdings. Ergo the reduction in holdings is not pertinent.

I agree the algorithm has to be revamped, but also couple it with the revalued currency.

I dont like chance.I hardly ever go to the bokie events.if It wasent some thing i could get hands down 100% all mine for spending me k on then I might do it.

Why couple it with removing Karma from people?

Really, you aren't removing Karma, as long as the factors are constant. Relative K values and power remain equal to the current system. All you really are doing is moving a decimal point.

(1) Make bookie a separate forum with a separate currency.
solves the problem. K-flation exploded mainly because of new karma generated from bookie events. doesnt have to be a separate forum, just have separate class of "dots" for use as chips (G's?) that only have value as betting currency not as classic K for use on the other forums.

the k won at bookie events wasnt purchased, so it can be "called" and exchanged by EF for the new bookie currency without much hassle and no detriment to the holder.

After removing bookie generated K from the system, you may not even need to make any normalization adjustments ala redguru/blut/mm/italy/etc

That would reward whoring karma and meaningless posts.

You'd see an awful lot of "You're a good bro." posts then.

Foreigngirl's premise was based on some assumptions. The first one would be that current levels of karma store activity would remain constant.

With that assumption, if you raise the cost of the items there, MORE karma will be sucked OUT of the system. We all agreed that karma is being created daily at a rapid rate, but if we could balance that out by taking karma out of the system, inflation would slow. You could do this by:
1) raising the prices on karma store items
2) encouraging people to "spend" their karma on karma store items
3) finding other ways to get people to part with their karma, many have been discussed.

I have takled with Foreigngirl quite a bit and I can verify that not only does she have a brain, she's one of the more intelligent people here.

exactly what I had in mind. Thank you Lestat :)

That's the same argument I'd use for not taking it away. People like big numbers in game score, pinball machines, Karma. I can see the equivalence in moving the decimal point throughout the system but, unless the change does something significant, I'm happier to see Hammy on 8 million than see him reduced to 8 thousand.

If the main reason for the new K in the system is purchased karma, forget everything I just said.
