Most novices lift with arched back, wich gives extra ~20% weight but is VERY dangerous. Go straight :D!
BTW, I just squated 270 lb on eight times (deeper than paralel) without even a belt, but I cannot bechpress more than 170 lb - that's all that fucking genetics :mad:

my back was pretty straight. trust me, if my back was arched it would have pulled me either forward or straight back down. 405 can sling 160 around like its nothing.
 
hey you guys, is it just me that thinks trap-bar is easier?
I could do about 400 on trap bar, but it dropped significantly when i used bench bar. Does my form just suck, or is this normal?

A trap bar is one that is designed in a diamond shape and the handles are to your side instead of out in front. It is easier I think...good variation.

Good job PD... I always say a small prayer before doing my first heavy set but I am pretty sure that God does not listen when deadlifts or atlas stones are involved :)

Ive never pushed myself to see what I can do. The most Ive ever done was 365 for 10 on the smith machine. I did press 500 for 10 yesterday on the leg press
