Jens, just a few things...
1) What are co-contractions?
A co-contraction is where you sit on the edge of a chair with bent knee & simultaneously contract your Quads & Hamstring muscles & hold.
2) The wall slides definitely suck. Be proud of yourself for doing them.
These hurt!
3) I'm all for the ibuprofen, but be careful about how much you're taking over the next few weeks.
Why? Taking them for their pain relief + anti-inflammatory properties.
4) Check with your PT on this, first, but ask about glute contractions. Lying on your stomach, you simply squeeze your glutes and lift your leg off the table/floor. It will help a lot with extension, if you are having trouble in that area. You will be doing them after the surgery, so you may as well start now.
I'm doing these but in a sitting position. Will ask about doing them face down.
5) Feel free to use heat on your knee BEFORE your PT work, if you aren't, already.
I've been wearing a neoprene sleeve to help with my stability as I don't have a brace yet....that's been keeping my knee warm.
6) Be positive. You're strong and will get through this even stronger than you were before.
