Is this oatshake to much?

Thanks for the books at scivation Rick. Am going through them now, look great. I really don't want to go for the spinach but if it is the only way to further improve my diet I will suck it and go for it. :(

Would it be ok to put spinach in a blender with oats, water, protein and take it in the morning?

Thx for the input moya. I think I will add 6oz of chicken breast with 1 cup of rice to it and also try to stuff the spinach in there somewhere. I will of course alter accordingly to the book after I'm done with it.
Are you measuring the chicken cooked? 6oz of chicken cooked?

Oh you're cool man. Spinach is just a suggestion for green fibrous veggies. You could use broccoli, green beans...etc... The reason you take that much protein is not because it builds muscle better. I'm dead serious here. There have been numerous medical studies on biopsied muscle tissue that show no hypertrophy differences from a 1g per kilo to a 2g per lb difference. That's a huge difference in calories from protein. No, you wanna keep your protein high because it's muscle sparing not wasting. But don't think for a second that you need to consume that much protein to BUILD muscle. you don't. The most gnarley of athletes even can get by with 1g per kilo of body weight.

Moya is correct. Stick with WHOLE foods. You don't want to be consuming your calories through shake form. Yeah a post workout shake is great cause it's absorbed faster, but that's pretty much the only time for it, or like right when you wake up, but other than that it should all come from whole foods. I wouldn't go ape shit on the red meats, but Meat is NEEDED! Plus meats also leave you with a satiation effect that you wont get from other protein sources.

Thx alot for all the info. I finished reading the lean mass book. A great learning experience. Did not know that insulin spikes could result in body storing fat. I am now customizing my diet accordingly with all the food groups and portions.

Thanks again. :)
