Monohydrate is the best by far at this moment because it is the only one with scientific backing. All the other ones are theoretical

I can't remember exactly what chemical in many creatine products was causing depression (I think 1,3-diethylamine), but I myself actually had a bout of mild depression from using creatine while seeing mediocre results at best (maybe due to lack of ambition to work out in the first place due to the depression). I know some creatines don't have this chemical in them.

Does anyone know for sure what the chemical is? And of brands that don't contain it?

I think ur talkin about the stimulant geranium that's in alot of pre work outs

Surprised more guys aren't using the nitrate. No bloat, no loading, ect. And you get the NO pump.

I've enjoyed the C4 Extreme pre workout blend.

Easily one of the most essential supplements on the market. Not only does it constantly prove itself in all the clinical studies that have been run on it, the safety and efficacy of it can't be questioned. Don't fall into the hype and get more expensive creatine's because they claim to work better, just get plain ol' monohydrate and enjoy the results it gives you. Scientifically (which is all you should care about) this supplement works and it works well.

I noticed that when training to failure it added a few reps and may have allowed me to do some extra sets. But I did not get much in the way of strength gains. Now that I am primarily training for strength, I don't use it. 5 reps is 5 reps and it doesn't become 6 because I'm on creatine. If I were competing or in a competitive sport though, I would take it.

Absolutely...Creatine is one of the most researched performance enhancing supplements. It's been proven number of times to enhance athletic performance on a range of levels from strength to recovery. 5 g of a heaping tea spoon a day is perfect.
