Injury question????? Need advice

I included playing soccer for an addition to my cardio workouts, once a week. I played when I was 5 until I was 19 I am 28 now and an ex University football D-Lineman.

My question is almost every week It seems I strain either a hamstring or quad - nothing very serious but enough to bother me for a few days. What should I be doing to end this. I warm up and stretch before games etc.

Any suggestions? Just getting to be a pain.

Use IcyHot on the muscles BEFORE you play...be proactive about your injuries!!!!

Strerching them bewfore a game would be good. You could sterch all the time and you would not have any problems. I like bfold idea also. Warming up with some light running and some sterching is a damn good idea. Yo used to play collage ball right? What did you do before ever game you played? What about before every practice? ICYHOT is a good product but you need to rest you strains and then start with a good solid pregame routine. I know they just go away in a couple of day. over time you will possibly tear or seriously injure yourself if you don't start taking care of you minor injuiers now. I tore my groin in a hockey game after playing thru a long persitant pulled groin. I was in agnoy for almost a month. I could not even take a dump without being on the verge of tears.
