IF and calories

ok...so I posted in someone elses thread which probably wasn't cool...so Im making my own thread


I started IF like 4 days ago
for last three weeks Ive been folowwing a keto diet
my bf is high, my lbm is decent (considering my gender)

I was diagnosed as insulin resistant two months ago and initially just cleaned up refined carbs which did...pretty much nothing for my blood work or my weight
Im also hypothyroid but well treated...and have more than enuff thyroid meds and knowledge about it to tweak my dose to feel good and have good numbers for labs..I've never lost muscle doing this

with keto I dropped 6 lbs at once then stayed there....with IF Ive lost another three lbs...calipers testing (its all Ive got) says I've lost fat not just water
I havent had problems with anything with lifting or bikram

but I just started a fitday log and I have only come in right around 1000 calories the last two days

does anyone else have a problem getting enough calories in doing this? I seriously cant even look at food right now....the last couple hundred calories I got for the day was in the form of whey and almond milk...and I had to choke it down
this can't last right? whats the cure?
 
I IF quite a while ago and got very freaky lean. I also noticed I had no appetite. I had to force feed myself for a while but eventually I was able to consume 3000 calories in a single sitting. I was following the warrior diet which is quite similar. Secret to me was my big ass meal had to be after a workout where I was craving nutrition. The body eats up the fat on IF... Are you still energetic? your body is probably burning fat for energy especially since you were already in keto.
 
yeah...im still energetic..which is why I'm not completely freaked out by it but holy crap...at some point this will be life no nutrition

I was lookin over paleo...how does the warrior diet differ?

The warrior diet is just one meal a day, a really really big meal that is quite satisfying !i always kept it healthy too. I'm unfamiliar with paleo. As for you still having energy I would say dont give up yet make sure you get In your recommended protein amount and you are most likely just in a fat burning state, I always felt euphoric almost at times when I was burning fat for energy rather than carbs. Eventually I would burn out though and my appetite would come on. Once I was like sub 8% body fat I really started to feel the surge for calories ;)
 
ok...good to know, I'll leave it be for now and fill in nutrients with the multi-v for now
