I went for a deadlift PR today...!

it happens to the best of us, better luck next time SG! If you wouldve gotten it, that would have been what, 3 PR's in a week?

I know. I know. I actually try to push things up and up every workout. It doesn't always work.

My best was the week of my birthday. I actually was able to hit a PR on every lift that week.

I just have my eye on this particular PR. I have a goal for my deads and I will hit it. :)

This gives me something to look forward to.
 
It sucks, but right from the get go, it feels like I know I can't budge the bar... I take a step back... and try again... convinced I can move it... again, it usually doesn't budge... then... I try a third time... I usually end up pulling my back or getting a stinger in my neck...

I learned to stop after try number 2 LOL

I hear you bro... you can't come out a winner on every lift, every week... if that were the case, I'd be squatting 2000lbs now. :)

Not much... only trying to push it up 10 lbs. I never go up more than 5-10lbs jumps.

I had just rep'd my former 1 rep PR weight for 2 reps... so I thought maybe the time was right for a jump. (Wait a minute... 2 reps with my former 1 rep weight... that's a PR. :) )
