Que...thank you so much..I have been really worried about him this week since he is in Bagdad......but he is doing well!

End of the year.......thanks everyone for the B-day wishes....hunted in the woods for about 5 hours and I am SORE...inner thighs and hams and calfs.....tried to run today and only did two miles....my legs were aching.....so I have a new found respect for bird hunters in the woods....saw a bald eagle on my b-day! That was very cool!

Okay yesterdays cals were way off. I was swamped at home and work. I have found that for me to start the day off with a protein shake it helps increase my cals as well as protein for the day.

Yesterday:
1074 cals
carbs- 137
fat - 42
Pro - 44

OKay so yes I need to up my food alot on the days that I am really busy. Im adding a spinning class in next week. This should help my endurance with running along with strength training. I plan on running this am before it gets to windy....Also I am joining a triathalon training club too

triathalon training club......I like that!! Are you going to start swimming? I used to swim 5xwk and train triathalon all the way. Swimming is what kills most people in those races. Good luck with it! You will meet some cardio freaks in that club.

I love this quote you have!! It's so very true ;) Once you have done it, it's like a drug you want more.

Thanks Buns.....trying to journal it everyday and see where it takes me....

She needs to change her EF name to MarathonGurl. wtf? I haven't seen any damn gym visits.

I had a kid with the flu since friday so it has been a little busy....but why can't it be considered pure protein Missy??

It's the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.

Jan 7, 2007

I have had a sick kid all weekend....BUT I ran on wed 5 miles and friday 4 miles and noticed that I had to keep stoping and stretching my calfs and then running again only to have to stop again to stretch. My shin would totally cramp up in the front by my knee....very very strange....and my calfs have been feeling really tight lately....so I talked to a Dr. yesterday at work who told me my calf were hurting from over use and they needed either ART or deep tissue massage to help get rid of all the adhesions and resrictive tissue.....SO has anyone had either of these done...I know my biggest problem is I need to stretch more and my calf muscles are HUGE and they pull on the shin area......

Hey Lulu......she is still having some stomach problems.....Im hoping she can go to school tomorrow so I can get somethings done around here....I have been working so many hours that nothing seems to get done like it used to

Jan 8th....

Cals 1550.....check that out Buns!

1 hour spin class...10 miles......calf felt decent spinning......

My thoughts on my workout today LOLOL

Swimming is an art! You are so right. One thing cool about swimming is that once you figure it out and feel confident you will explode with potential. If there was one thing I could get back from the old days it would be my swimming. There is nothing like it! Hopefully I will get back into it soon. I seem to have to much pride in the weight room now.

What a freaking fantastic workout

You've got me going now!! I need to say fuck it and hit the pool. I used to be so good at it and I miss it so much. It is by far the best cardio in the world. Be careful with your food intake. After swimming was always the hardest time to resist the food urges. :)

Some days the swiming does that to me and some times not....Swiming is a killer for me when it comes to breathing. I can't get my breathing right and I almost panic and have to pop my head out of the water. Not sure if it is a mental thing becasue I have asthma or not.....Im working on it...

Have you had someone teach you how to breath while in the stroke? I also read that your shoulders and back hurt. Make sure your kicking those legs hard. You produce alot of power in the wayter with your legs. Once you learn how to breath you can start working on your turns. (flip)

Oh good another way to drown lol.....Im going to try to get there twice a week. It is right at my work so I have no reason not to unless there are no lap lanes at that time lol....Now you do Tri's am I right?

You my friend...are like doing an Ironman........three events and all to their max....LOL I want to crash and eat after lol

Some people "dream" of being #1, while others wake up everyday and "work hard" at it. Are you a dreamer or a hard worker?

It's a long story but I used to train heavy for Tri's. Not no more! I need to get back into the swimming. Fuck that run shit. I hate running!!! 3 miles is ok, but anymore and I just start to get really bored and in pain. I bet I would look really funny in my Speedo weighing around 210 lbs.

I can't believe you squat that much! Amazing! Maybe it just hurts my knees thinking about it...

You'll make that marathon, don't worry about it. :D And you know, I was always guilty of not stretching too because I find it so ungodly boring -- BUT suddenly after my chest surgery... i came back to working out and was like "OK, I'd better stretch" because I didn't want to hurt myself in the gym.

I'm finally a believer now -- I have had far less aches and pains from running and cardio than I ever had -- my knees are in much better shape, and yes, I'm still sore from lifting as I should be... but I don't feel BROKEN with all that darn joint pain.

You're doctor might be on to something... :qt:

Main reason I never tried a tri - I hate bike riding. It scares me. :) Running I have always loved, swimming I tolerate, but bike riding - scary. I have visions of falling, pitching forward, etc. :worried: A tri is fascinating though. :)

I met a triathlete at the gymwhen I was in Hawaii. He'd had 2 hip replacement surgeries - not from running, but from getting in crashes on the bicycle. Pile ups. :worried: oi.
