Call me a neophyte, but i had never been to goheavy.com forums.

Man, that is some serious trash talking and their forum software sucks.

Only good thing is that occasionally some natl caliber lifters post there.

They are having a conflict with Jay Gibson's board and the APA board (scott taylors), which is currently shut down.

I could not agree more Irish,

They are a very hatefull lot, and it is a bitch to try and read anything. If you miss reading it a day or two you get totally lost on how to track the directions of the conversations.

I would like to have some of the national competitors over here too, but if they bring the shitty attitudes some of them display on goheavy, then I would just as soon they stay there. I don't understand why it is that guys of that caliber would be calling each other out, and downing each other's lifts.

That seems like high school shit to me. I know I am nowhere near that level, although I aspire to be, but I cannot imagine saying to Jay or Hell, anybody, that one of his lifts was no good, or calling names or challenging guys to show up at a certain meet, just not very professional.

But like Jay says, the smack talkers make a name for themselves and get endorsements, so maybe there is something more to it than what I see.

that is possibly the ugliest and worst setup forum in the entire world. the first day i checked that place out there was a post that said something like "westside: louie's juiced apes" and then it went on to bash all the westside lifters and say how none of them could lift without the massive amounts of drugs. after that i knew that there was no reason for me to read on. most people get on forums to learn things from others not to just put down everything under the sun. there is no reason that type of shit should go on.

That place sucks ass! The attitude sucks. No way would i want them here. Because of that place there are some well known lifters that i have no repect for and think there dick heads and would not loan them chalk if I seen them at a meet. I read there to see results from guys that went to a certain meet, but one day goes by and the guys who lifted get slandered. Fuck that place.

I hear ya big jay. Some of the big names have really made asses of themselves over the years there. Can you imagine Michael Jordan typing stuff like that on an NBA forum?? kind of embarrassing really....
