i do glute ham raises on the floor (my gym has no machine) i tried to get them to get one. anyho i use the decline sitop pad lock my feet in and the lower my chest and face till both of the are touching flat on the pad then i pull back up with my glutes and hams and calves. when i am am done allthose muscles are sore. am i doing this right everyone says these are hard and should be easy to do but my first time i did 5 unassisted reps second time 8 and then added a second set after that. so am i doing them wrong or are my hamstrings just strong enough to lift my 6 2 180 pound body??

Like any movement it will take time getting strong at, so yes your weak at them, if I don't do them at least once a week I start over with my beggining resistance. It takes a week or two to get right back so they do work well.
