Gaining Weight Without Meat????

My friend is a vegetarian, because of a deficency in his body-not a choice to not eat meat. He has had a problem his entire life gaining weight. He is wanting to gain about 10-15lbs(not muscle-weight) and he is 18 years old. Any advice or strategies since he can not eat meat? I figured weight gainer shakes and milk but i dont really know what to do when it comes foods.

Not muscle weight??? FAT OR WATER weight????? Try working out, drinking milk, and alot of protein shakes. Can he have any meats????????

So he just wants to add fat? 2 5000 cal meals/day consisting of sugar and fat ought to do it. :mix: If you're asking how to get protein w/o meat... tofu, milk, beans? And of course, whey protein shakes.... AND EAT A LOT

You could gain mass off milk protein. Have him get some carb countdown milk...stuffs loaded with protein and very little sugar.

Or whole milk if he is a serious ecto
 
Tell your friend to eat All Natural Peanut Butter, can he eat fish, cause salmon and tuna would be nice to add to his diet. I suggest ON's 100% whey and Oatmeal too.
 
Lots of whole milk is great for gaining weight. Mentioned above, peanut butter is also a fairly healthy food that will pack on the pounds. Mix some high carbs in there like large amounts of fruit, fruit juice and oatmeal and he should be well on his way to 10 lbs.
 
ya what exactly is it .... what is the problem are you saying all protein??
.....what happens to him.... is this just somthing his moms told him so he believed or is it a real problem???
