fractured l4 and l5 vertebrae recovery

CANETHING

New member
I was squatting the other day and after I was done my low back started killing me. I'm going in for an x-ray and MRI monday, but given where the pain is and knowing guys who have had it before I'm pretty sure I fractured either my l4, l5, or both vertebrae. Wanted to see if any of you guys had gone through this and if so what you're recovery time was.

I've never had that injury but from people I know, those back injuries never fully get back to 100%. After some good rehab you should be able to squat again. I'd follow the doc and pr's advice. Take the time to heal and don't rush it. Good luck.

Use code joeb15 for 15% of at Ntbm.

Ntbm site is temporarily down and will be fixed soon. There will also be a new customer service number.

Slipped my L1 & L2 a couple years back. True, it never fully recovers. I was able to squat and DL after a year or so, but then tweaked it again. I know what exercises do and do not aggravate my back and stay away from those for now. Seems every time I try to get back on the horse, things go well till I start going heavy again, then bam! Set back.

Worst part is doc says there's no treatment. Probably have to get a fusion down the road as it just gets worse over time. I need to get an inversion table and try that out

Anyway, best of luck to you!
