Do you feel like total shit precomp, like on death's doorstop from not eating + cardio + training until you eat and then you feel good for an hour or so, then back to feelin like piss, then eat and feel good, etc.....how does it feel? Just curious...are you wtching the clock for every 2 hours or are you usually ok with it?

It depends on carb intake (and about a million other things, but for me it's all about carbs). Some guys keep carbs relatively high pre-contest. I don't go over 150 g and my re-feed days are 400-500. But unfortuantely for me, I feel like crap all the time. I don't even enjoy eating, not even when I have my carbs in the morning. Its a combination of being depleted, sore, tired, and, well...it just sucks. Also, pre-contest time is when many folks opt for highly androgenic AS like tren, halo, etc. All of this is a recipe for a very pissy person. That being said, any competitor will tell you they embrace the pain. It's what lets you know you're doing the right thing. If it's easy and painless, it's worthless.

When it comes to contest prep, a good rule of thumb is the worse you feel, the better you look.

maybe I need a total refeed? at 160 my carbs are under 125 on the weekends then about 275 dyring the weak mybe less. 2900 cals I'm thibking I feel like piss for lack of carbs even though I eat 8x a day all small......

MAN...aint that the truth. Funny thing is I can remember PLENTY of days feeling like crap UNTIL i got to the gym to train. Training always seemed good until I left. I know the feeling of being tired. Morning cardio, full 10 hours at the shop, then back to the gym for training and more cardio. Yeah..being tired and sore is just part of it. I know some of my friends always ask me "why" i do it. I just like the whole aspect of not only training but trying to be the best. I guess it is something inside.

Damn bro.....look solid. how do your stats compare now? What are your current goals? age? etc...
Iam still 5'5"...lol. I weight down from 217. Doing cardio 3-4 days a week right now trying to get down to 190. Diet is close to a contest diet...I broke my back right after that show so it has been a long road back to training. I can't say Iam "bigger" or "smaller" but needed to lose the bodyfat for sure from the lack of having the best diet. I joke about having "back fat"...
well goals this year is to hit jr nationals as a lightweight (154). The michigan I weighed in at 172 and had about 10 pds easy to lose plues water weight. At that show I never cut water. just trained up until the day before and put some protan on and went onstage. That rountine....haaha..made it up while I was posing. (if you couldnt tell).
Oh yeah...Iam 34

Looks damn good LM! Props!

Yes you feel like shit all the time. I've made some people (including my bosses) scratch their heads and wonder why I was such a bitch when I'm usually very nice. Low carb day. Its exhausting. Its the biggest mindfuck you will ever put yourself thru. But its also one of the most amazing achievements and really brings you up a notch in what you believe you can do in your life. But usually the biggest thing people don't realize is that it truly is more a mental thing than a physical thing. Trying to stay in a tight and very restricted and unexciting pattern of existence for 3+ months. Having no more free time. Being exhausted all the time. Foot cramps in the middle of the nite & you have to get up and do 5 am cardio on 3 hrs of sleep. The training I never had a problem with - loved it! The diet, the cardio, the food prep all sucked moose balls.

And the really funny thing about it - say you make it thru that first show -- you really wonder wtf you are doing all the way up to competition day. But once you are on stage, it all seems worth it. But the absolutely psychotic thing is if you go back and do it again - this time KNOWING the size of the mindfuck....
