For those of you with a spouse or SO

I guess I'm lucky on this one. It takes a sonic boom to wake her up. When I reset the alarm for her, I have to turn it up all the way.

my stuff is set out the night before. I usually get up before my alarm goes off, so that doesn't bother her. I get ready for work at the gym after working out and showering there.

For me....we had always worked the same shift......so while she had to be at work earlier then I did, I would always get up with her and have coffee etc

I am the one leaving by 5:20 am every morning -- good size walk in closet is a must, I do all of my prep the night before and just do minimum in bathroom and then head straight to the closet. Then gone for the day. If you don't have walk in closet -- setup a 2nd bedroom so after you wake up -- you head there to get ready.

She usually wakes up when I'm moving around getting ready. There is usually something that we have to coordinate before I go like, "the checkbook is on the microwave, don't forget to pay the housekeeper", or "call me at work to remind me about the baseball game".

Then it's a kiss and I'm gone, or if it's been a while maybe time for a quickie. Either way she's back to sleep probably before my car leaves the neighborhood.

We usually ask one another what time we are getting up the next day if we plan on diverting from the usual schedule so we won't be running into each other etc.
Either she or I will get up first and be done before the other.
Not morning people

Bathroom with a door so I close it before turning on the light.

I try and be as quiet as I can with the opening of door/drawers etc
and I am pretty good at know where everything I need is so I can
usually work in the dark. I put my workout clothes in the Bathroom so
I have all I need but my shoes/keys/etc in there with me the night before.

I have my stuff needed for the Y or for work already laid out by the front door
so I'm not in the bedroom jacking around looking for stuff.

awwwee, how sweet of you lolol

As soon as you wake up, put a joint in his mouth, let him sub-consciously breathe and take a couple hits on his own...that should sedate him a little so you can get's your 'aircon' on.

I just went through this a month or so ago.

I have to be at work @ 8:30am and he had to be to work by 2:30pm. So he went and got a second job at the Gym....LOL so now he has to be up with me in the morning!! It worked out great.
