fizzy drinks.

i love fizzy drinks such as coke,lemonade.. will drinking to much of it stop my muscle growth and make me fat?

Options:
(1) drink diet drinks; or
(2) drink your fizzy drinks at "optimal" times (PWO, AM, when glycogen depletion occurs)
(3) replace good carbs with these "poor" carbs.

Calories In v's Calories Out is main determinant of overall weight change, so therefore if for example you drank 1 litre of coke and ate no other carbs, you would probably be OK and not overfill glycogen stores. Reality is though that if your in calorie surplus/deficit, quality of carbs and food will matter as to whether changes in mass are loss/gain of muscle or fat, and further, if you drink 200g of coke carbs per day, its very unlikely that you will be full and not consume other carbs, not to mention risk be nutrient deficient and having gingivitis

thanks.
i didnt know its full of that much sugar..
but i think i could be addcicted to coke cola,
if i drank water/juice would i see a diffrence in my training and gains?

I would say you would see a huge difference mate! How much u drink a day? Try the coke zero or somethin??

Drinking a lot of water is essential in BB, so make sure you drink at least 3 litres a day

cheers, i drink about 2 litres of coke a day..
im going to try and drink nothing but water..
i think thats wat my problem could be?

ive got a big belly off the coke.. if i train it well and stick to a healthy diet, could it go to 100% cuttness and muscle?
