I'm in a cutting cycle and I'm doin cardio ed with an empty stomach (in the morning),I usually eat protein pancakes made by myself and for the 4 final weeks I wanted to change and only eat a protein shake (50 g of whey)after to avoid all carbs sources in the day ( carbs in my pancakes come from oatmeal I put in).
Do you think it's a good idea ?

If you don't want to lose much LBM you MUST eat proteins after cardio

BCAAs and L-Glutamine would also help

yes, right after cardio I would just take a shake and wait for a few hours befoire eating a real mealn (with a bit of carbs)

if your going to do am cardio on a empty stomach make sure it's moderate-intensity. high-intensity cardio burns less FFA's than moderate and will also keep cortisol levels high for several hours after training (regardless of carb intake).

didn't knew about that...(about cortisol)

what's the meaning of FFA's?

Hi

My rule of thumb....carbs are always good post workout. Even if going low/no carb. If not your body may burn muscle (some) and thats bad, right. A few carbs would not hurt.
