Few more equipment q's

First: I am going to order a belt this week. I tried my buddy's double prong 10 mm competition belt he got from monstermuscle and I loved it. I had been using a real thin, cheesy weightlifting belt I had. I was thinking of getting the same one he has. Would there be any good reason for me to get the 13 mm? I am a small lifter(148 lb class) if that matters.

Second: Groove briefs, are they legal in all feds? What about the HD groove briefs? I have heard yes and no and I want to know before I decide if I want to get them. This year I'll be competing in the USAPL. Not sure what other organizations I'll compete in in the future.

Third: squat suits, which one have you had success with, suggest for a lightweigh like myself who has a poor squat(mostly out of the hole).

Last, but not least: Deadlift suits, are they worth it? Would I be better off using a squat suit or singlet instead? Any suggestions on types?

OK, money is not an issue here, putting me in the best equipment to assist me in my competitions is. I have time before I am gonna get the last 3 things, the belt I will be buying this week. I just want to start my research now on those things so I can get plenty of opinions and make the best choice. Thank you.

On the belt issue, we use the 13 mm lever belt. Locks in a second. You don't have to waste time and energy trying to get the prongs in just the right hole. Find someone with a 13 mm and try it. Compare which one is best suited to you.

On groove briefs, not sure if all feds allow them. I know for sure they're ok in the APA and APF.

I've used many Inzer suits and one Frantz suit. Right now I use the Inzer Hardcore for squats and deads. It's the best suit I've used so far. I started with a regular Inzer suit then went to the Inzer Z-lock suit. Had great results with both. Decided to try a Frantz suit and had the legs extended four inches to decrease the riding up the rear complex.

I wear a z-suit, and I like it. I am going to buy one that is one size smaller for a full meet I am doing in May. I wear it to squat and deadlift in. I like it well for both. I have not tried the Hardcore, but hear good things. It might be a bit much for your first suit, though.

I have the lever belt. Get it. Prong belts are a pain in the ass. The lever belt locks down easily, and is very easy to get in and out of.

Bump, I'd like to hear more about the squat/dead suits. I've heard only good things about the hardcore. Want to make sure others guys have no trouble pulling in it.

Also, if anybody has the info if the groove briefs are legal. If they don't allow them, could I wear a regular pair of spandex underneath?

i've also heard the MaxDL was great too.. dont know what the difference between the hardcore and maxdl are though
