dont get accutane unless your acne is severe dude..
I fuckin hate zits.. i have pretty clear skin, but i always get a couple fuckers on my chin, just below the sides of my mouth and they make me angry as hell.. i'm 26 y/o..
i've been taking b5 since the summer.. thought it was helping but i dunno now...
i use some prescrip lotion (benzyl peroxide & somethin else) 2 times a day.. i have used it for years now and it helps clear them up, but it doesnt stop them from appearing..
i party quite a bit, drink beer, smoke weed, do other drugs (hopefully not anymore)... and this could be part of the prob for me..
i do remember one period of time not long ago when i had really clear skin...
i changed my pillow cases/sheets every other day, i washed my face 3x a day and used that lotion 2x a day..
morn: wash with clean&clear deep cleaning, oil fighting cleanser, then clean&clear astrigent, then lotion
afternoon: same without lotion
evening: same as morning
i did this cause where i worked was very dirty air, my skin was always dirty, and the lotion made it sortof oily
the b5 now takes care of the excess oil.. so i may try that clean and clear shit with the lotion 2x a day again and see how it goes
what i have been wanting to try tho, and i think it is the real cure, is doing a liver cleanse... your liver filters and rids your body of toxins... when your liver isn't doing this 100%, the toxins leave your body via your skin, hence zits
i have taken pills that are meant to cleanse your liver over a period of time before, and what happens while taking them? lots of zits... it foces the liver to get rid of all the toxins it is holding, and the only way for them to leave your body is thru the skin... so it makes sence... i noticed after i took those pills for about a month, and after breaking out pretty bad, that my skin was clear for a while... (untill a summer of partying fucked it up again)..
i think that if your liver is in tip top shape and doing its job propperly, you wont get nearly as many zits... I'll be doing a cleanse soon and i will let you know how it goes..
keeping in mind, your acne is probably mostly hormonal, but still, it's worth a try.
