Every Bone, Muscle, Tendon, Etc ACHES

We had our school-wide Field Day today. I have been outside, on the go, playing games and running relays all day ..... 10am-3:15pm!

We started with a record-breaking Duck, Duck Goose game at 10am. We had 764 students, teachers and parents playing - and we are now in the Guiness Book of Records. The circle was 1/4 mile around.

Then we had 11 stations of games .... and of course, my kids wanted me to do EVERY ONE .... multiple times! That was from 11-2.

Then, from 2-3:15 we played kickball. My team had to play THREE GAMES! Against the top 3 student teams .... of course teachers won every game!

I think I could cry I am so tired. My feet ache. My knees ache. My back aches. My stomach aches from laughing all day. My neck aches. I lost my voice from cheering all day.

But, boy is my heart happy ..... my kids are the best. We had the best day. My arms ache from all the hugs I got today. And the high-fives. My cheeks hurt from the smiles.

I think I'll skip the gym tonight!

4th grade .... and they are too freaking cute. Yes, a pain sometimes, but still very cute.

That's so sweet! I haven't been around little kids in literally decades except for my nephews, but damn, when they are cute, they are sooooo cute!

It was a happy post .... I LOVE my job. With all the pain-in-the-ass things that come with being a teacher, I truely love my job and take it VERY seriously. I do not believe in doing things halfway. I teach them as much as teach me. I bitch about the kids often (to my hubby), but I still love them.

You shoulda seen me yesterday ..... I was a train wreak. I had an all-day content training session (9-4) for work and I could barely move. Literally, every muscle hurt. It hurt to move, breathe, think. I was SO tired - physically and mentally.

My friends were making fun of me - because I workout all the time, but was still SO sore and achey. That just shows you how hard we played!
