Elbow hurt during squats

For the past two weeks my elbows have hurt a lot during squats. This has never happened before and I have no pain when doing any kind of other exercises including pushing exercises. I rest most of the weight on my back too so it shouldn't be from the weight pushing on my elbows. Has this ever happened to any of you guys before and what might be causing this?

What kind of pain?

You can be compressing a nerve in your shoulder that goes to your elbow...

Its kind of hard to explain. Its more of a dull pain then a sharp one and my elbow feels real weak too. I don't keep the bar on my shoulder either. I keep the bar a few inches down my back.

So you think its nerve then or is there a chance that it's something else? I have been squating with the bar in the same position for a while now and these past 2 weeks are the first time this has happened. Is there a reason why it would happen all of a sudden. Should I just try moving the bar to a different spot. I would appreciate any other suggestion you may have on how the fix this. Thanks for your help.

Is anything else different? Any new rotator cuff issues? Changes in temperature? Changes in diet? "Supplements?"

Well, I back home from college for winter break. I go to school in Tucson, Arizona and I am now in the Bay Area. The climate is about the same this time of year, yet it is more dry in AZ and about 3000 ft higher elevation. Supplements and diet are the same. I may be eating a bit less, but nothing major. The bar at gym I go to here is thicker then the one I use at school, if that could have anything to do with it. No current rotator cuff issues, at least that I am aware of. I tore it about 5 years ago, but have no problems since I recovered from it. My right shoulder is a bit inner rotated, and that is the side that my elbow hurts on, but I it has been like that for a while and I have been doing excercises to fix it for about 6 months and it is almost back to normal, and like I said this has been going on only for 2 weeks.

All i can think is that youre lifting with your arms as well when doing up, or supporting it with your arms on the way down. Rest it completely between your delts, let your legs do all the work. A friend had that problem once.
