ECA vs. Clen

MS , what kind of vegy's are you using? How long are your cardio sessions? Are the oils used to cook with or you pour it on the vegy's? No carbs after your thursday morning workout doesn't keep your muscles from recuperating? Sorry for all the questions to but this sounds very interesting. Only 4 days a week of low carbs!

Veggies are raw celery, lettuce and capsicum. The oil goes uncooked in my protein shakes.

Muscle recuperation hasn't been a problem. I feel that I'm so super glycogenated from the previous day that there's no shortage of fuel for recovery. This is not an uncommon taining method for folks doing CKD. They often do all of their heavy weight training on day 1 and 2 of low carbing, and don't even bother with weights during their carb up.

Cardio is 20 minutes HIIT (up and down 18 flights of stairs) in the am, and very low intensity hill walking for ~60 minutes in the evening.

WOW MS...that does sound truely extreme, I'd feel too hungry on the high fat days but too full on the high carb days! Please keep us posted on your progress!

I want all the info on NYC too....anyone else using it?
I am using it and I will tell you this... I am never hungry when I use it, I have an alarm set to remind me when to eat;) No jitters at all. I went on a semi-bulking diet and gained ZERO fat while using NYC... I also used Yohimburn. I LOVE IT!!:D I add more Yohimbine HCL to mine though.

Yeah, NYC is great for keeping appetite under control. I also add extra (topical) yohimbine because ALL of the commercial NYC mixes seem to be underdosed on the yohimbine. I also prefer NYC because I basically can't handle the CNS and cardio side effects I get from ephedrine. And of course, the yohimbine is an unbeatable fatloss aid for women IMHO.

And Now For the Benefit of us OLD F......

MS,
Could you elaborate on the dilemma of insulin insensitivity. This getting to be a major problem for many people I see due to constant dieting and high GI 'healthy' carb intake.

Also, perhaps you have some thoughts on how one might ease out of this situation?

Are you nearly fossilized as well Big Easy?? LOL. Keeping bodyfat under control (at any age) is prolly your best protection against age induced insulin resistance, along with regular exercise and general stress reduction. Keeping insulin under control is the second best thing you can do. High doses of AAS and hGH can also exacerbate insulin resistance. Here's a link to a previous thread where I pondered the use of insulin independant glucose lowering drugs:

Obviously the combination of constant dieting with high GI carb intake is detrimental to insulin resistance, as are short term high fat diets. I should stress that longer term very low carb diets usually lead to improved glucose sensitivity, as do long term moderate to high carb low GI diets. In both cases, keeping insulin stable is the key to keeping your sensitivity to glucose from diminishing. No matter what kind of diet poeple choose, I think the key is to minimize exposure to high GI foods, and when you DO indulge in them, keep the fat outta there. And don't get fat!

I strongly suggest you get these high carb dieters to read this abstract, especially if they're female:
