There is a big difference between 'wheat' bread and 'whole wheat' bread. All bread, white bread included, is 'wheat' bread, as all breads are made from wheat. Brown breads labeled 'wheat' are typically just white bread with mollassas added for color.
Subway's bread is definately NOT whole wheat. Whole wheat means it is made with the entire grain of the wheat.
