Difference between whey and soy protein?

Why does everyone prefer whey---the reason I ask is because I love those Naked Juice Protein Zone and its 34 grams of protein per bottle and they're so damn good but its soy--and i want to buy in bulk but does it matter that its soy??
 
Soy mimics estrogen in receptors. Small amounts won't matter but keep taking in too much and yes it does. Both are good sources of protein but whey is higher in BCAA as well making up for over 50% of the total protein content. Whey also have a higher biological value than soy does.
 
soy is for the broads. except when eating zone perfect bars...then i deem it OK. but only when eating those bars. :D
 
Whey and Soy should both be taken!

Soy has some unique benefits for guys that juice like being very beneficial for the prostate and good for the heart. The thing about the estrogens from soy is true, but it's almost impossible to consume this much soy in order to develop any problems from it. Even if you ate tofu every day, it would be very hard to eat enough to hit the too much point. (you would have to really work on it all day).

Be smart and use a combination of both. Steroids are very hard on the prostate and soy is excellent for the prostate. Every man should consume some soy every day.

PS - A few of those protein bars with soy per day would be totally beneficial to your diet with no negative consequences. Believe me, I've seen so many studies about soy and they've concluded that there's nothing to worry about with the estrogen thing.
 
I agree with you Nutrient Nut-- I consume about a 10oz glass of Soy Milk in the morning w/ breakfast.

Consuming a wide variety of protiens will surely help you recover faster than just consuming just one-=-
 
hmmm i might be wrong on this, since no one else mentioned it before, but i had an undestanging that SOY also breaks down slower than WHEY... WHEY is preffered after lifting because it will get into your blood stream faster, while SOY will take a while... buy OY could be better to take before going to bed for example.

I concentrate mostly on WHEY, so this might not be accurate, hopefully someone will either confirm that this is true, and no one just mentioned it, or its wrong, cause i'm trying to think back like 3 years here back into the "SUPPLEMENT YEARS" u know, knowledge bout certain things just isn't as important anymoore lol
