Diet While Marathon Training

I've decided to train for a marathon, and I've gotten on a schedule that will continuously add to my cardio over the next few months until I'm ready to run the full distance. I've just finished a cycle and have added on a significant amount of muscle mass. I'm worried about losing it while training. I'll continue to do strength training, but I'm a little uncertain about alterations to my diet.

While doing this training, do I just need to add the extra calories that I'll be burning into my diet to avoid losing muscle, or is there anything additional I should be doing.

Just factor in the extra activity to your TDEE and eat acordingly. More protein and more carbs for sure. Good luck.

I went from a 195lbs muscular physique to a 156lbs physique when moved to triathlon training, all the long distance running will eat up on your muscle, and let’s be honest if you want to be a runner the extra muscle will only make you slower.
It’s hard but you need to choose (if you want to be good at either one), either be a muscular bodybuilder or a slim runner

And why to spend your $$$ for a cycle if you will burn all of it from all that cardio?
