Diet critique

Hello,

I have received some good advice from people on this board. I was helped out by a very generous person, and he put togethor a diet to help me lose fat and put on lean muscle. I modified the diet to fit into my work schedule. I am 27 yrs old, 5'9", 211 lbs. I am guessing I am around 25% body fat. I have lost 30 lbs since starting my exercising 3 months ago. I didnt have a good diet before. With this new diet, I have been on it less than a week and I feel good. I currently have a flabby midsection along with love handles. Not very proud to mention that, but there is no hiding from the truth. I was hoping to get a few opinions on my current diet, since I did change it up a little bit. This is my daily routine. Your opinions are much appreciated!


1. A.M. Cardio- usually 30 min. on elyptical 5 days a week
2. Breakfast- 3 eggs, three strips of turkey bacon, 1 cup oatmeal.
3. Mid morning snack- 1 apple sliced with natural peanut butter & a banana
4. Lunch- 8 oz of turkey or fish on 2 slices of whole grain bread with small pack of almonds
5. Pre-workout- 1/2 cup of Oatmeal
6. Weights workout
7. Dinner- broccoli with 1 chicken breast
8. 1 hour after dinner - 60 gram Protein shake

Any thoughts? Once again...I am trying to lose fat and put on lean muscle.
 
you could drop the bananna, replace the last meal shake with fish and broccoli you could also add up to another 15 minutes onto the cardio sessons. change the cardio around from day to day also.
 
I am thinking about buying a heavy bag with gloves. I thought about adding a kickboxing routine to my exercising. Do you think this would help me burn fat? Also, do you think I should buy some casein instead of drinking a whey protein shake at night? Maybe drinking the whey shake an hour after lunch? Thanks for the input!

p.s. Is it bad to mix miracle wip with the tuna? I havent so far, but it sure the hell would taste much better! I understand the goal is to burn fat...but what about taste?

mayo is bad for you. the bags will work the hell out of your arms in addition to weight training and probably further hinder your muscle development but would add cardio, shakes suck as a last meal, what about taste? if its canned tuna you must eat then just eat it with nothing but why not eat tuna steak or something similar.
 
That's not quite a lean muscle diet, imo.

you are eating quality foods but without the bigger perspective I can't tell you much.

What are your stats? What is the total cals on that plan? Macros on that plan? What does your training look like?
