Debate McDonald's diet verses clean diet on cycle

st8grad said:
Yes. I don't think saturated fat from animals is bad. I don't believe that it contributes to high cholestrol levels.

I believe that crappy carbs like the buns is what would elevate LDL and triglycerides. But I also think that pounding down 400+g of carbs ,even from something good like yams, would do the same.

If you think that the beef they use is of the highest quality, think again.

I would also recommend reading Fast Food Nation (also about to become a film I believe).

The lipid profile of the muscle cell reflects the diet, and if you eat too much saturated fat and modified trans fats (and Mackie D's food is highly processed), this affects the membranes.

They become stiff and blocked. This is especially true when the combination of simple carbs (the bun and all the sugar in their sauces) is combined with saturated fats.

This leads to insulin resistance, so the great anabolic effects of insulin are hampered as the insulin receptors no longer function as well to trigger glucose and amino acid transporters to the surface of the cell.

A calorie is not a calorie is not a calorie and not all fats and carbs are created equally.

You are what you eat - junk in, junk out.

watch Supersize or whatever the movie made by Spurlock.
Pay attention to what the doctors say about his health after 25 days on the McDonald diet.

Seriously, watch the movie before you decide on that diet.

I saw it 3 years ago or something like that. Since then I have been to McDonalds 4 times. Twice the same day my son was born only because I had no time to eat.

Excellent documentary. However, he also ate fries and drank coke for every meal. Trans fat and TONS of sugar. Now we are talking about a whole new ballgame.

For the record, I really am not advocating either diet. I'm trying to open up the fact that I think both would suck. But given perceptions and misinformation about healthful eating, I think there are many who think diet 2 is perfectly ok. Save for the fact that there are tons of people who think it would be even better by dropping the fat grams way down.

Don't forget about a stranger handling your food. God knows where some of those teenagers hands have been.

Also, what about the dairy in the cheese? There's 2 slices of processed American cheese on one quarter pounder. Also, the patty is fried on a grill. No draining or getting the greese off. Straight from grill dripping with greese to the bun. Delicious yes. Healthy? Hell no...

Eating insane amounts of quarter pounders while on cycle is insanity imo. Arteries clogging. Feel bad so won't be able to work out with maximum intensity.

From experience, this is a bad idea. I did something very similar. I have been a health nut since I was 18. I'm 24 now. Whenver I get sick around the winter time, I'll usually eat whatever I want. Burger, fries, Hardee's, you name it. Well, this year when I got sick, I couldn't get well, so i continued my fast food diet for far longer than expected. I kept thinking I would get well in a "few days" and it didn't happen. I went to the doctor each week for 4 weeks, got a shot each time and a different antibiotic each week. My strain was resistant to oral antibiotics and my head wouldn't drain. Long story short I was out of the gym and work for 7 weeks and in the hospital the last 12 days. I went in due to a massive headache and not being able to hear at all out of my right ear. Penicilin on an IV for the entire time is eventually what got me over it. Through that time I was in a bad depression so I was eating shit everyday. Big Macs, shakes, fries, soft drinks, you name it. This aided in me getting severe headaches due to extreme change in diet and my routine (I would spend nights in a row and not go to bed and go to Hardees at 4 am and pig out). So, before you decide on an extreme diet change like eating however many quarter pounders ED, imagine your head feeling like someone is inside with an ice pick hammering to get out. It was the most excrutiating pain I have ever felt. Morphine is the only thing that would help at all and it took a lot of it. Then I would fall asleep for half the day. It was insane. I'm not saying it was just the diet to blame, it was a combination of that and a lack of sleep and total change in routine. But diet definately played a role in it!

A healthy lifestyle is the way to go.

I want to submit this for consideration AND for it to either be torn to shreds or possibly backed up. Same cycle, same lifting and cardio routine, two different diets:

1-15 test cypionate 500mg week
1-15 boldenone 600mg week.

Diet 1 is:

2 quarter pounders per meal for 6 meals.

74g carbs/48g protein/38g fat = 810 calories per meal

Diet 2 is:

13.2 ounces sweet potato, 10.78 ounces chicken breast, 33 fish oil caps at 1g of fat each

for a total of 74g carbs/48g protein/38g fat 810 calories per meal

Both are: 444g carbs/288g protein/228g fat for 4860 calories per day

I think the only difference the subject would see is a much greater increase in water retention, higher BP, and slightly higher insulin levels on the McD's diet.

Everything else, gains, energy levels, liver and cholesterol values, would be nearly identical.

Who's with me?

I like your analogy and thought process here. Very interesting. I like reading everyones reply. Very interesting.. That was funny stuff when he puked out the window in "Supersize Me" on like the 3rd day into it. Also when the doc told him his liver enzymes were "off the charts"..hehe I think Mc Donalds is way worse for your liver than 17aa orals, alcohol and my favorite, x-tacy, combined!

That was good! o-k, stealing the thread for a second since were on a diet discusion...I do not seperate my fats from carbs during the day..what is this about anyway..i do not eat carbs after 5;00pm but i dont eat fish(fats)w/ out rice, so why are bro's talking about this carb/fat seperation ? and does this mean no red meats with rice ect... cause there is always a little fat in pork/chicken/fisk/steak ?

I was going to say the samething... Fast forward to the Dr. test results, his body was producing shit that was not natural. He was not working out, but still!!!

This should be a no brainer...

Could be your 'strain' was actually a virus and not a bacteria.
