Don't know what the conversion weight would be...can't really compare. Everyone has a weakness in some part of the deadlift.
I have always done deads from the floor, but for the contest we will be pulling from 18" dead center on bar. It will be just like the old silver dollar deadlift where Kaz pulled a grand I believe.
I think that it does put me at a slight disadvantage over the shorter guys because the 18" could be at their knees or slightly above...shorter range of motion. At 6'2" it is about 2" below my knees. Trying to learn sumo deadlift style. It is a strange and difficult spot for me to pull from...but surely there will be guys in my 300lb class that are taller than I...so maybe I'll have the advantage.
