i was at 25% bodyfat. that's way too high, no matter what i do in life. i'm thinking bodybuilding...but it's pathetic how many times i've switched back and forth between things. strongman is definitely interesting and i've learned a bit about reading, but i dont know.

nclifter, how many people at your gym are top level competitors?

as soon as i get to about 13-15%, i'm just going to cycle carbs.

I just cut some bad stuff out. I dont many sugars at all anymore. I dont eat a lot of carbs. I eat a lot of protien. I just work out hard and I have lost a good deal of bodyfat just from that. I think it would work for you too. You just need to make up your mind on what are trying to accomplish.

the fat i got accumulated because i hurt my back, couldn't lift, yet tried to eat like i was still bulking to keep my mass. i kept most of the mass, but i gained a lot of fat.

as soon as i could do most lifts, i ate VERY cleanly. the worst thing i ate was the occasional couple slices of pizza. i actually gained more fat while being more active and eating like this. there's just a point, when a lot becomes too much

any gym ive been to ive never heard of any one cutting on a ckd ive only heard this on certain internet boards. you can check out alot of natural bodybuilder webpages and they dont do ckd's. i could go on about so and so has this bodyfat and is this big, but no need to get into that. you can take my word or ignore man just trying to help you man because i see you post alot and you seem confused yet your still 25 percent bodyfat as u say, good luck.

thanks for the words. i will probably do something else besides a ckd as soon as my composition is back to normal. it's just that this works for very fat people (me) so of course, faster is better.

i think i'm at 22-23% right now

valentine's day :o

i couldn't wait until today but now that i'm eating carbs, all i want to do is pound the shit out of certain fuckers. it's been like this for a couple weeks now, but the diet isn't suffering TOO bad.

today i went outside (the sun is finally shining :) ) and ran about 4 slow sprints. i'm suprised at how much farther i can run and what my endurance is like compared to 2-3 weeks ago.

i have a horrible shin splint that hurts pretty bad, even when sitting. it's just the one thorn in my side that keeps things realistic. i feel like a god

i think i'm going to include cardio when im bulking. just a little..to keep fat down and just for how great it makes me feel

ckd diets work by releasing fat in your blood for energy. if carbs are present your own fat is not released.

are you taking in enough fat?

i am on @ 160 to 180 g protein a day, 100 g fat, 50 to 60 g carbs and i feel incredible and the fat is slowly coming off while my muscle is being retained.

i would not go with the moderate carb/moderate protein/low fat diet because you'll be soft and flat all the time. i've done it. stick with the plan you have, maybe add 20 or 30 grams of carbs a day in extra vegetables. it may help alittle. if not, add alittle more protein. stick with it, you will eventually find what works. it's taken me @ 14 months to figure out wat worked for me, including ignoring half the info the "guru's" on this board give me. mr. x knows his shit. i listen to him now.

the bodyopus CKD plan has a certain set of ratios that's too tedious for me to calculate every week. takes about 15 minutes for me w/ a calculator. lol

i just get 1g protein per pound of lean body mass. fat over 200g every day. except for the day after carb-up, where i get about 250-260g fat and about 100g pro

carb-ups are fun, but it sucks looking flat as hell most of the week

been exactly 3 weeks today. feel good, but i wish it would go faster. lol..

i'm going to buy some calipers if i ever can, to track progress.

i'm guessing i weigh in the high 240's

i have 5 hours left until the end of my carb-up. all week long i couldn't wait, but nothing really tastes that great

i haven't checked the scale yet. just the mirror. no dramatic changes, obviously..

i feel very fucking small, and i am. i have no real shape, just a shitload of fat covering some tiny muscles. it's the worst feeling in the world to know this.

i'll probably look like a goddamn men's health model by the time i'm done with this.

the next time i bulk, it's going to be fairly clean and i'm going to do enough cardio. i'm never going above ~16% bodyfat again
