I know you're supposed to defrost steak for 8-10 hours before cooking , but if you just defost it quickly in the microwave then cook it will it affect the nutritional content in any way?

i am a chef and sometimes we need to quick thaw also
i would nuke it on low for a few minutes
till you can press your finger into it
prob is microwaves are not very even
so if you are into anything other than well done you will have uneven doneness
if it wrapped well in plastic or in a baggie i would thaw it under cool running water
